Shipping Information and Policies

UPS Shipping zones

Westby Locker and Meats uses United Parcel Service (UPS) only.

Customer will select the shipment method and packaging type, keeping in mind the destination, time of year and Ground Service avalibility. To maintain the quality and condition of the product, and for health and safety reasons, we recommend the following:

If your order reaches us any later than 12 pm on Tuesday, is must be shipped 3-Day Select, 2nd Day Air or Ground, so it will arrive by Thurday or Friday afternoon.  Orders recieved after 12 pm Tuesday will be shipped the following Monday. Orders to California and Florida will be shipped on Fridays only. It is the responsibility of the sender to make sure someone is at the address that the package is being delivered to.

Note: The destination of the package will determine the method of shipping. Especially to warm states, ground service may not be available. If this applies, we will contact you via email with your options.

December Shipments

During the holiday season, we get extremely busy with multiple orders. Please place your order no later than December 9th if you wish to use the UPS Ground Service for delivery by Christmas. Doing so allows time for us to process your order, so there are no unexpected delays in shipment.

In the days right before Christmas, UPS only guarantees delivery of packages to be shipped 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air, so it's important to place your order accordingly.

Shipping Fees

There is a $7.00 packing and handling fee per order that is added onto the UPS Shipping price at the last step of checkout.

UPS shipping rates are based upon the destination, weight of the package and method of shipment (Next Day Air, 2-Day Air, 3-Day Select, Ground). The cost is automatically figured by the shopping cart when you fill in the order form.


All meats are shipped frozen in either a corrgated box or a Styrofoam shipping container (which is then packed in a carbboard outer box). The box is marked "Perishable". Please refrigerate the contents upon arrival.

Returns, Refunds and Exchanges Policy

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges, or offer refunds.

Payment Policy

The easiest way to order is by using our secure on-line shopping cart using your credit card. We accept Mastercard, Visa and Discover Card. You
may also phone or mail in your order (see address below).

When entering your billing information, please make sure that you provide your billing address (the address to which your credit card statement is sent to), as this is needed for fraud-prevention purposes.

Orders that are mailed to us, containing a check for payment, will be subject to a two-week waiting period prior to shipment. Please allow plenty of time for ordering in this manner.

To place an order with credit card online, fill in the quantity of the item you would like to order and click on the add to shopping cart button. You may view your shopping cart or checkout at any time by following the instructions on the screen. You will receive a copy of your order, with pricing, after checkout.

We reserve the right to substitute items of equal or greater value due to availability and also prices are subject to change. All orders are final.

Privacy Policy

This policy covers how we use your personal information. We take your privacy SERIOUSLY and will take all measures to protect your personal information.

What Information Do We Collect?

We only collect information that we need that is related to your order. This includes your:
    Billing Address
    Shipping Address
    Email Address
    Credit Card Information

In addition we also collect information on your IP address, browser type, and Refer URL data. We use this data to prevent hacking attempts, help us know what web browsers people are using, and find out where our visitors are coming from so that we can improve our marketing.

How Is My Information Used?

Your information is only used to fill your order. We do not sell or redistribute your information to ANYONE.

Security and Storage

Only your order data billing, shipping, and order contents data is stored on our server. This information is encrypted using a Secure Sockets Layer before it is transmitted over a web server. We do not store your Credit Card data.
